Manage Your Policy

Adding a drone, updating your details, renewing cover, or pulling proof of insurance — here's what's involved and how to get it done.

Short answer

You can add or remove drones, update your details, renew cover, and request documents at any time by contacting our team directly — we update your policy record the same day. Self-service online access is coming soon.

Contact Our Team

"Managing your policy" covers everything that happens after your cover starts — adding a new drone, updating your details, renewing, pulling proof of insurance for a client, and keeping a clear record of everything you have insured with us. This page explains what's involved and how to action it today, while self-service online access is being built.

What you can manage

  • Fleet changes — add or remove drones, cameras, sensors or ground equipment from your policy.
  • Cover changes — adjust liability limits, add payload cover, or move between personal and commercial cover as your use changes.
  • Contact and banking details — keep your policy record accurate and payments running smoothly.
  • Renewals — confirm or adjust your cover ahead of your renewal date.
  • Documents — request a policy schedule or proof of insurance for a client, site or landowner.
  • Pilot and operator details — update licensing, ROC/UASOC or operator information on file.

How it works today

DroneInsure doesn't yet have a self-service portal, so every change is handled directly by our team rather than through an online form. In practice this means: you get in touch with what you need changed, we confirm the details, and we update your policy record — usually the same day. It's a person on the other end, not a queue.

Fastest route right now: contact our team with your policy details and what you need changed. We'll confirm everything in writing once it's done.

Keeping your own records

While we maintain the official record of your policy, it's worth keeping your own file too — serial numbers, purchase invoices, current valuations, and photos of your aircraft and payload. This makes any future policy change, renewal, or claim faster to process, since the details are already at hand rather than needing to be tracked down after the fact.

A simple record-keeping checklist

  • Make, model and serial number for every insured drone
  • Purchase invoices or current replacement valuations
  • Photos of the airframe and any mounted payload
  • Maintenance and flight logs, kept up to date
  • Current RPL, ROC/UASOC or CofR documentation where applicable

Making a claim

If you need to claim rather than simply update your policy, our claims page walks through the process and what to have ready. Report incidents as soon as possible — most claims move faster with complete flight logs and photographic evidence from the outset.

Looking ahead: self-service access

We're building toward a proper client login where you'll be able to see every policy you hold with us, track a claim's status, and download documents on demand — without waiting on an email. Until then, the team route above gets you the same outcome, just with a person handling it directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add a new drone to my policy?
Contact our team with the aircraft details (make, model, serial number and value) and we will update your policy schedule. If you're insured under a fleet policy, this is usually a quick administrative change rather than a new application.
How do I update my contact or banking details?
Send us your updated details and we'll confirm the change in writing once your policy record has been updated.
Can I get proof of insurance for a client or site?
Yes — contact our team and we can issue a policy schedule or confirmation of cover, which is often what clients and site operators require before allowing drone operations.
When will online account access be available?
Self-service login is on our roadmap. Until it launches, our team can action any policy change or query directly — usually faster than a self-service form in any case.
How do I file a claim?
See our dedicated claims guide for the full process and what information to have ready. In short: report the incident to us as soon as possible with flight logs and evidence of the incident.
